October 25, 2019Exciting News at Power of Two
Happy New Year! Power of Two is kicking off this New Year with some exciting news. We are pleased to announce that Erasma Monticciolo has assumed the role of Executive Director at Power of Two.
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am writing to share some exciting news. Beginning in January 2019, Erasma Monticciolo, Power of Two’s Vice President of Programs and Community Engagement, will take over as Executive Director. After five years of conceiving, launching, and building the organization, in partnership with Erasma and Kristin Bernard, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Stony Brook University, I have decided to leave the Executive Director position and move to the Board of Directors.
I can tell you from three years of close-up, personal and professional experience that Power of Two is extremely lucky to have someone as inspiring and competent as Erasma already on the leadership team, primed and ready to seamlessly take over the position. For those of you who don’t know Erasma, she has been with Power of Two since the beginning, and she has been deeply immersed in all aspects of the organization. She is a passionate believer in our mission, an inspiring leader, and a very effective manager. Erasma originally comes from central Brooklyn and, as a result, has a unique and personal commitment to our work.
On a personal note, while it will be difficult to leave the day-to-day work with our great team, I look forward to staying closely involved and engaged with my Power of Two colleagues and with all of you as well. I cannot tell you how much your support has meant to me and to Erasma and the whole team. We are ever grateful.
Please join me in supporting Erasma in this new role, as we continue our work and our pursuit of that fundamental goal: ensuring that every child in New York City grows up with the best possible start in life.
You can reach Erasma at erasmam@powerof2.nyc or (347) 559-1519.
With Love,
Anne Heller
