Kathleen Regan

Kathleen Regan is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Commonwealth Fund, a private foundation that aims to promote a high performing health care system that achieves better access, improved quality, and greater efficiency, particularly for society’s most vulnerable. Prior to joining the Fund, Ms. Regan spent more than twenty-five years in healthcare investing and investment banking supporting growth stage and emerging medical technology companies as a partner at Radius Ventures, a senior consultant to Warburg Pincus LLC, a senior managing director and director of healthcare investment banking at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Freedom Securities Tucker Anthony. In 2012, she served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Department of State Global Health Initiative and led the development of a $200 million public‒private partnership, Saving Mothers, Giving Life, to address maternal mortality in sub-Saharan Africa. Ms. Regan has served on numerous private and public boards of health care companies and currently serves on the board of the International Women’s Health Coalition. She received a B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University and an M.P.H. from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
